Was bringt uns als Gruppe zusammen?
Wir sind Queer Durch Berlin, eine offene, queerfeministische Jugendgruppe. Zusammen wollen wir über das Patriarchat, den Kapitalismus und intersektionale Kämpfe lernen und kämpfen. Neben Empowering für junge Queers wollen wir aus einer queerfeministischen Perspektive heraus Anstöße zum Reflektieren gesellschaftlicher Strukturen geben.
Wer sind wir?
Unsere Gruppe ist mehrheitlich trans und (gender)queer, weiß und die meisten von uns studieren. Ursprünglich haben wir queerfeministische Rallies rund um den 8. März organisiert und jetzt sind wir auch in anderen Kontexten aktiv. Wir sind eine palästina-solidarische Gruppe und solidarisieren uns mit allen anti-imperialen Kämpfen und Bewegungen, wie beispielsweise in Kurdistan. Wir verstehen uns als anarchistisch, queerfeministisch, antifaschistisch, sex-work-solidarisch und antikapitalistisch.
Was wünschen wir uns für den gemeinsamen Umgang?
Wir orientieren unsere interne und externe Arbeit an unserem Awareness Konzept. Dabei bauen wir auf das Safer Space Konzept, in dem wir für uns selbst, aber auch füreinander Verantwortung tragen. Wir versuchen auch regelmäßig innerhalb unserer Gruppe zu Gruppendynamiken einzuchecken und Positionierungen und Machtverhältnisse innerhalb der Gruppe zu reflektieren. Wenn ihr Feedback an uns habt, könnt ihr euch auch immer gern per Mail oder Instagram an uns wenden.
Als Gruppe unternehmen wir auch gerne zusammen Sachen. Wir gehen beispielsweise zu politischen Veranstaltungen, oder treffen uns privat und machen zum Beispiel Ausflüge. Wir versuchen in unserer Gruppe auch community Aspekte zu haben 🙂
Was machen wir? Was haben wir bisher gemacht?
Unsere Gruppe ist in Berlin aktiv und organisiert Veranstaltungen in verschiedenen Bezirken. In den letzten Jahren haben wir insbesondere rund um den 8. März Rallies organisiert und dabei verschiedene Veranstaltungen wie Workshops, Filmabende, Stadtspaziergänge und Demos gemacht. Außerdem haben wir im restlichen Jahr Veranstaltungen wie Tresenabende und Museumsbesuche organisiert. Mehr Infos zu vergangenen Veranstaltungen findet ihr auch im Archiv.
Unsere Gruppe ist auch in Bündnissen mit anderen Gruppen aktiv, mit denen wir Demos und Kundgebungen planen, wie zum Beispiel zum Trans Day of Remembrance. Wenn du Teil einer Gruppe bist und etwas mit uns organisieren möchtest, schreib uns gern per Mail oder Instagram!
Zugänglichkeit
Es finden regelmäßig und bei Interesse offene Plena statt. Wenn du Interesse hast mitzumachen, dann schreib uns gerne per Mail oder Telegram! 🙂 Momentan nutzen wir intern mehrheitlich Deutsche Lautsprache. Unsere Veranstaltungen sind meist auf Deutsch und teilweise auf Englisch.
Informationen zur Zugänglichkeit unserer Plena: Vor dem Raum ist etwa 100 Meter lang Kopfsteinpflaster, die Toilette ist im Gebäude gegenüber im Erdgeschoss und mit einer Rampe zugänglich. Im Hauptgebäude (circa 300m entfernt befindet sich eine rollstuhlgerechte Toilette, die mit Euroschlüssel zugänglich ist. Auf dem Weg dahin ist Kopfsteinpflaster und die automatisch öffnende Tür ins Hauptgebäude ist derzeit defekt.) Am Eingang zum Raum ist eine etwa 3 cm hohe Schwelle. Wir haben Stimming Toys vor Ort und es ist während des Plenums jederzeit möglich, sich nach draußen oder einen anderen Raum zurückzuziehen. Alle halbe Stunde oder so, gibt es ein rauschendes Geräusch von Wasserleitungen, die durch den Raum verlaufen und wir bekommen immer mal wieder etwas von einer Bandprobe im Stockwerk drüber mit.
What brings us together as a group?
We are Queer durch Berlin, an open, queer-feminist youth group with a desire to educate people about patriarchy, capitalism, and intersectional struggles. In addition to empowering young queers, we want to encourage reflection on social structures from a queer-feminist perspective.
Who are we?
The majority of our group is trans and genderqueer, white, and most of us are students. We originally organized queer-feminist rallies around the 8th of March, and now we are also active in other contexts. We see ourselves as a group in solidarity with Palestine and stand in solidarity with other anti-imperialist struggles and movements, such as in Kurdistan. We also see ourselves as anarchist, queer-feminist, anti-fascist, supportive of sex workers, and anti-capitalist.
How do we take care of each other?
We base our internal and external work on our awareness concept. We build on the safer space concept, in which we take responsibility for ourselves, but also for each other. We also try to regularly check in on group dynamics within our group and reflect on positioning and power relations within the group. As a group, we also enjoy doing things together. For example, we attend political events or meet privately and go on trips. We are trying to build community aspects in our group 🙂
What do we do? What have we done so far?
Our group is active in Berlin and organizes events in various districts. In recent years, we have organized rallies around the 8th of March in particular, as well as various events such as workshops, movie nights, city walks, and demonstrations. Accessibility
Open plenary meetings are held regularly and upon request. If you are interested in participating, please contact us by email or Telegram! 🙂 Currently, we mainly use spoken German internally. Our events are mostly in German and sometimes in English.
Information about the accessibility of our plenary meetings: There is approximately 100 meters of cobblestone pavement in front of the room, and the toilet is located on the ground floor of the building across the street (there are no cars on this street) and is accessible via a ramp. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet in the main building (approx. 300 m away), which can be accessed with a Euro key. There are cobblestones on the way there and the automatic door to the main building is currently broken. There is a threshold about 3 cm high at the entrance to the room. We have stimming toys and it is possible to retreat outside or to another room at any time during the plenaries. Every half hour or so, there is a rushing noise from water pipes running through the room and we occasionally hear a band rehearsing on the floor above.
